We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Care Professional to join our team at Gurwin Health Care Agency. As a leader in home care, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional care to our clients in their homes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving, with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or patients requiring home care. They must be able to provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as assist with mobility and transfers to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
Responsibilities include administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals, monitoring vital signs, and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel. The successful candidate will also provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Required qualifications include being a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of NY, having reliable transportation, and being able to work a minimum of 35 hours/week and every other weekend.
- The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, have a understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality, and be able to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- A satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency is also required, along with demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills.
