About the Position
We're seeking dedicated and compassionate home health aides and personal care assistants to join our team in the Queens area.
As a home health aide with CareConnect, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our clients, providing them with the care and support they need to live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
J ob Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized care to patients, including assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support patients with mobility issues, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to medical personnel.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Requirements:
- Certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
