Personal Care Assistant Wanted
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team at CareConnect. As a Personal Care Assistant with us, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality care to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Requirements
- You must be a certified home health aide (HHA) in the state of NY.
- You need to have reliable transportation.
- Able to work a minimum of 35 hours/week and every other weekend.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Fluent in English (able to speak and understand).
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency.
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
