About the Job:
- As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare team members to provide essential support with personal care needs.
- You will assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, oral care, dressing, and mobility tasks.
- Your primary goal is to help clients maintain their independence and dignity.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance with bathing, oral care, dressing, and other daily living activities.
- Assist clients with mobility tasks, such as transferring to and from beds, chairs, and walking aids.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dish washing, and maintaining the client's living environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members while maintaining accurate records of care and client status.
Requirements:
- HHA/PCA certification in the state of PA is preferred, not required.
- You need to own reliable transportation.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Fluent in English (able to speak and understand).
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
