SR SCRUM MASTER

Summary

The Scrum Master/IT Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the IT team, leading projects that support CareConnectMD’s technological infrastructure and innovation. This individual will facilitate Agile processes, ensure successful project execution, and enable cross-functional collaboration. The role requires strong experience in healthcare IT projects, Scrum ceremonies, and project management best practices.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Scrum Facilitation:
  1. Guide the team in Agile/Scrum practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  2. Plan and facilitate Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  3. Ensure sprint goals and priorities are well-defined, achievable, and aligned with IT and organizational objectives.

• Project Management:
  1. Collaborate with Product Owners, IT Leadership, and stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and manage IT projects.
  2. Oversee projects related to Azure infrastructure, CCLF data processing, HIE integration, Power BI reporting, and web application enhancements.
  3. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and risk management strategies.
  4. Track progress, remove impediments, and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  1. Act as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders to align technical initiatives with organizational goals.
  2. Ensure clear, transparent communication on project statuses, milestones, and challenges.
  3. Drive team accountability and foster cross-departmental collaboration.
  4. Ensure efficient handoff and communication of deliverables to stakeholders.
• Process Improvement:
  1. Identify and implement improvements to Agile processes and project management workflows.
  2. Utilize Agile metrics to drive team performance and project outcomes.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience as an IT Project Manager
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM or equivalent certification)
• Proficiency with Microsoft DevOps or similar project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience with Azure services and cloud-based environments is preferred.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management frameworks.
• Prior experience with healthcare IT systems, including familiarity with CCLF, HIE, and Power BI, is strongly preferred.
• Strong data-driven mindset; familiarity with BI reporting tools like Power BI
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in the Costa Mesa office 1-2 days per week (at discretion of hiring manager)
• Very strong interpersonal skills and ability to build, facilitate and maintain relationships with business partners

• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, value-driven healthcare environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Proficient use of personal computer, along with word processing, spreadsheet, databases, and presentation graphics software.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks frequently with short timelines, to prioritize and organize work, and to complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.
