Summary
The Scrum Master/IT Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the IT team, leading projects that support CareConnectMD’s technological infrastructure and innovation. This individual will facilitate Agile processes, ensure successful project execution, and enable cross-functional collaboration. The role requires strong experience in healthcare IT projects, Scrum ceremonies, and project management best practices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Scrum Facilitation:
- Guide the team in Agile/Scrum practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Plan and facilitate Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure sprint goals and priorities are well-defined, achievable, and aligned with IT and organizational objectives.
- Project Management:
- Collaborate with Product Owners, IT Leadership, and stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and manage IT projects.
- Oversee projects related to Azure infrastructure, CCLF data processing, HIE integration, Power BI reporting, and web application enhancements.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and risk management strategies.
- Track progress, remove impediments, and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Act as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders to align technical initiatives with organizational goals.
- Ensure clear, transparent communication on project statuses, milestones, and challenges.
- Drive team accountability and foster cross-departmental collaboration.
- Ensure efficient handoff and communication of deliverables to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements to Agile processes and project management workflows.
- Utilize Agile metrics to drive team performance and project outcomes.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Education and Experience
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience as an IT Project Manager
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM or equivalent certification)
- Proficiency with Microsoft DevOps or similar project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
- Experience with Azure services and cloud-based environments is preferred.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management frameworks.
- Prior experience with healthcare IT systems, including familiarity with CCLF, HIE, and Power BI, is strongly preferred.
- Strong data-driven mindset; familiarity with BI reporting tools like Power BI
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in the Costa Mesa office 1-2 days per week (at discretion of hiring manager)
- Very strong interpersonal skills and ability to build, facilitate and maintain relationships with business partners

Salary : $154,000 - $165,000
