Dev Ops Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team in the healthcare diagnostics industry. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless build and release cycles of our Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) applications while optimizing Azure infrastructure and managing application performance and costs. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in CI/CD tools, Azure cloud services, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies.  

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the build and release cycles of all LIS applications to ensure smooth and efficient delivery. 
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for LIS applications to enhance automation and reliability. 
• Own, maintain, and optimize Azure infrastructure supporting LIS systems. 
• Monitor the performance and costs associated with LIS applications, ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered. 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps role.  
• Azure Cloud Expertise: Proficient in Azure cloud services, with experience in key resources such as: 
  • Virtual Networks, Virtual Machines, Load Balancers, and Application Gateways (used for EIS). 
  • Azure SQL Managed Instance and SQL Server. 
  • Azure App Service/Azure Functions (e.g., Fax Service, Report Service, Billing Service). 
• CI/CD Tools: Strong experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools (experience with Azure DevOps preferred). 
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in IaC technologies like Bicep and Terraform, with a proven ability to drive adoption of these tools. 
• Source Control: Solid knowledge of source control systems, particularly Git. 
• Operating Systems Knowledge: Proficient in both Windows and Linux environments, with the ability to write and maintain shell scripts. 
• Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Strong collaborative abilities and excellent problem-solving skills. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline development and deployment. 
• Familiarity with healthcare diagnostics or LIS systems, such as StarLims.
