Position Summary: CANoPS is seeking a dynamic and experienced Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director to lead and manage our CTE programs. The CTE Director will oversee curriculum development, program implementation, and compliance with state and federal regulations while fostering partnerships with industry leaders and post-secondary institutions. This role is pivotal in preparing students for successful careers and postsecondary opportunities through rigorous and relevant CTE pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for CTE programs aligned with the school’s mission and state standards.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing CTE programs, including Perkins requirements.
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and counselors to develop CTE pathways that meet student needs and labor market demands.
- Supervise and evaluate CTE staff to ensure high-quality instruction and program effectiveness.
- Manage budgets and resources for CTE programs, including securing grants and external funding opportunities. Including Career Savings Account status.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, industries, and post-secondary institutions to enhance student learning and career opportunities.
- Coordinate student work-based learning experiences, including internships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing.
- Promote CTE programs to students, parents, and the community through marketing and outreach initiatives.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate program outcomes and inform continuous improvement efforts.
- Stay current with trends in CTE and workforce development to ensure program relevance and innovation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with industry, community organizations, and postsecondary institutions.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all students.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Career and Technical Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid Indiana teaching license and/or administrative license with CTE endorsement preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in education, including 3 years in CTE leadership or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of Indiana’s CTE standards, policies, and funding mechanisms.
