SUMMARY

§  The Facilities Maintenance Team Lead role is responsible for providing support to equipment, production needs , and building and grounds. 

§  The Facilities Team Lead provides effective training to the department employees ensuring safety and quality standards are always maintained.

§  The Facilities Team Lead will be responsible for assigning work, maintaining the CMMS, ensuring all of the facilities are in an operational ready state.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other functions may be assigned.

 

·          Responsible to assist the Facilities Manager with prioritizing repairs, acquiring parts, scheduling preventative maintenance, and assigning work orders.

·          Establishing and stocking a critical spares inventory.

·          Lead and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring efficient and effective completion of tasks

·          Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure regular upkeep of equipment and facilities

·          Conduct inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks

·          Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations

·          Train and mentor team members to improve their technical skills and knowledge

·          Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment, order as needed to maintain min/max levels

·          Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on team performance to management

·          Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, management, and other departments.

·          Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

·          Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities

·          Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage and track maintenance activities

·          Identifies parts to order for projects, work orders, preventative maintenance, and repair of equipment.

·          Assists with general office and shop initiatives as needed, helping to improve the business

·          Works closely with other technicians in a team environment, offering technical advice, status information, and other help as needed.

·          Communicates effectively with project managers and teammates regarding issues of project scope and schedule.

·          Problem-solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues with creativity and resourcefulness

·          Ability to work with vendors, contractors, and other service providers as needed

·          Attends, contributes to, and/or leads meetings with team members and management as needed.

·          Follows company standards for maintenance

·          Follows company safety policies.

·          Promotes company safety policies to team members and subcontractors.

·          Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

·          Assists in training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

·          Two years of college or technical school; or four (4) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

·          Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required. 

·          Familiarity with mechanical contracting, Energy Management Systems, HVAC Systems and/or

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

·          Valid driver's license

This position requires working in all areas of our facility and grounds; mainly in a typical semi-conditioned shop or office environment. Occasionally, working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms, in extreme weather conditions, and in areas with vibration. The employee can occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and high, precarious places. The noise level in the shop environment is usually loud.  The noise level in the office environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job required in the shop, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), and fumes or airborne particles.

This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.
