Where is the work:
This is an on-site position located at the Trane Technologies campus in Davidson, NC.

What you will do: 

• Lead by example in workplace safety, in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Lead installation, modification, troubleshooting and repair of developmental commercial HVAC equipment and components, following engineering, agency, and test requirements
• Lead product development activities by operating commercial HVAC equipment, controlling test facilities, and collecting and reviewing experimental test data
• Work with Test Engineering and other technicians to install and utilize laboratory test equipment including data acquisition systems, power analyzers, flow equipment, pressure, and temperature measurement devices
• Lead efforts to troubleshooting and repair of commercial HVAC technologies and equipment as part of the lab facilities and products under test
• Mentor others on HVAC systems, refrigeration, instrumentation, and test processes
• Interpret test standards and support the creation and improvement of test procedures

What you will bring:

Candidates without a degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles

·         Associates degree in HVAC or related technical field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or at least 12 years of commercial HVAC or compressor experience.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required

·         EPA Type Universal Certification or willingness to become certified

Compensation:

Salary range: $70,000-$100,000
