What are the responsibilities and job description for the PARAPROFESSIONAL FOR CARPENTRY position at Career Areas?
The Carpentry Paraprofessional performs any combination of instructional tasks within the Carpentry Department and works on school projects and house building for upkeep, repair, preventative maintenance, and construction for a house in the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist carpentry instructors to coordinate instructional efforts within the Carpentry Program
Serve as licensed carpenter on the House Building Project.
Responsible for upkeep on various components of the school complex including not limited to:
General and preventive maintenance; upkeep
Research and utilize best practices and vendors for needed work
Miscellaneous job-related duties
Assist instructor with planning daily curriculum
Assist instructor with ordering construction material
Oversee safety guidelines on House Project
Assist with project transportation
Inventory of tools and equipment on a daily basis
Pickup materials for House Project when necessary
All other duties as assigned
