As the Deputy Executive Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the finances, operations, staff, and fundraising while fostering donor relationships, supporting strategic planning, and ensuring alignment with Inclusive Development International's mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to develop, implement, and review the strategic plan, defining and achieving organizational goals
- Design and refine team structures and systems to support sustainable growth and maintain high standards
- Address challenges and propose solutions with the Leadership Team
- Assess risks and recommend mitigation strategies, policies, and procedures to the Leadership Team and Board Risk Committee
- Oversee risk management policies, including digital security, travel, physical security, and staff well-being
- Lead the Operations Team in managing finance, development, HR, and administration
- Ensure programs are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget
- Support staff recruitment, training, and performance management
- Implement and evaluate the organization's monitoring and evaluation system to measure impact
- Develop and manage organizational and project-specific budgets, ensuring effective cash flow and financial forecasting
- Collaborate with the Finance Officer to allocate grants and ensure compliance with contracts and budgets
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust internal controls and process improvements
- Support the development team in designing and executing a fundraising strategy to enhance financial resilience and expand the funding base
- Cultivate donor relationships and oversee proposal development and grant reporting
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and mission-driven culture
- Lead Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) initiatives with staff collaboration
- Support staff development and foster a supportive, empowering work environment
