Senior Construction Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Construction Manager to oversee and manage the construction activities for an industrial EPCM project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction management principles. This position will provide motivation and direction to the project team, typically through a team of discipline-CMs and other support positions and will have accountability for the achievement of business objectives.

This position will likely be onsite in Wayne, PA to start. However, between field assignments, the position will be based out of the Greer, SC office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Oversee all onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of construction professionals, including subcontractors and laborers. Provide motivation and direction through active coaching and mentoring.
• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of construction.
• Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel. Provide leadership and accountability for the implementation and measurable performance of the Target Zero Health and Safety Program.
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide project updates and address any issues.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and daily logs.
• Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Education: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of a HS diploma/GED is required
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role on large-scale industrial projects. 15 or more years of experience preferred.
• Certifications: PMP, CCM, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills. Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• Technical knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, means, methods, regulations, and codes
• Legal compliance awareness and adherence to applicable codes, standards, regulations, and internal policies
• Ability to effectively manage budgets and schedules
• Experience in managing subcontractors and change management
