What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Financial Systems Analyst position at Career Climbers?
One of the largest publicly traded companies in Irvine is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to play a key role in their software conversion and data validation process. Building out large Excel files from the ground up, this role will be responsible for generating and validating data from their legacy systems to their new state of the art accounting and reporting software. This is a 6 - 9 consulting engagement.
Responsibilities
- Analyze variances in data and reporting utilizing sophisticated Excel models, identifying root cause and providing explanations to management
- Perform function testing in legacy systems and new systems and document results and track any necessary resolution
- Assist in data conversion and cleansing when necessary from MRI to Yardi
- Write procedures and best practices for system enhancement and tie out to Excel files
- Test reports to insure data conversion is accurate, such as GL coding for accounting, etc.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Microsoft, using advanced functions such as complex formulas, PivotTables, data transformation, data mining and building out files from the ground up
- Experience with analysis of big data including identifying and reconciling variances
- Yardi and/or MRI experience is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of real estate/lease accounting a plus, not required and bonus if you've helped lead a software conversion
- 3 years of corporate accounting and/or financial analysis required
- Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, or related field
