Summary :
A Lumber Handler is needed in Hamden, Ohio for a lumber producer serving furniture, cabinets, and molding and millwork segments worldwide. This is an ideal fit for someone just entering or returning to the workforce who is willing to learn new skills. Responsibilities include :
- Handling, sorting, and stacking rough cut specialty lumber by dimension, species, and grade to meet company standards.
- Ensure lumber is placed accurately and neatly into the appropriate cart.
- Work in open warehouses and keep the work area safe and clean.
- Participate in job rotations, morning huddle meetings, stretching programs, and company wide ROOTS recognition program.
This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent position. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 6 : 00AM – 2 : 30PM with a thirty-minute lunch break at noon. Some overtime may be needed on occasion. The pay is $17 / hour. Full benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k), paid holidays, and a paid vacation are available. The company also offers a formal paid training program and review process.
