ABOUT THE ROLE:
The firm’s Corporate Group is seeking a mid-level associate (3-4 years of experience) for their Los Angeles office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with companies across various sectors such as technology, finance, entertainment, manufacturing, and much more.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-4 years of corporate law experience
- Strong knowledge of federal securities laws, rules and regulations
- Experience with corporate transactions, including private offerings of equity securities, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and general corporate matters
- Experience representing venture capital, growth equity, or private equity firms in fund formations
- Experience with ongoing investment firm operations matters and compliance with the Investment Company Act, the Investment Advisers Act, the Securities Act, and other regulatory requirements is preferred but not required
- Experience with investment fund formation and relevant experience in the corporate group or investment group of a top-tier law firm
- Experience drafting LLC agreements, LP agreements, and other related documentation
- Major law firm experience is preferred
- Excellent legal writing skills and academic credentials
- Active California Bar admission
- Detail-oriented and demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Compensation: $220,000 - $250,000
