Long established Real Estate Property Management company (Owner/Operator) in Great Neck seeks f/t Staff Accountant with a "roll your sleeves up" mentality to prepare and analyze accounting and financial records, perform various reconciliations, financial statements and other financial reports. PREVIOUS REAL ESTATE/PROPERTY MANAGEMENT INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE is highly valued.

- Developing and analyzing reporting for business operations and budgets, maintaining various supporting schedules; report to management
- General accounting analysis
- Accounts receivable and/or accounts payable assistance and oversight
- Participate in monthly closings and resulting financial reporting
- Variance analysis to budgets/benchmarks
- Liaison with management, other departments, third parties external accounting firms regarding quarterly and government reporting compliance, tax preparation and other projects, as well as vendors, bankers, etc.
- Work cohesively with large staff in multi-company environment
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Perform ad hoc projects per Controller and CFO
Requirements:
BS Degree
Real Estate experience with multi-family properties, preferable in NYC
Software skills (MDS, MS Office including intermediate Excel)
Public accounting experience a plus, not required
Compensation: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
