Sr. AWS/Cloud Engineer

Morristown, NJ - 2/3 days in the office per week. - Must live local.

Salary : 120-150K 7% Bonus

Must have 3- 10 years of proven AWS.Cloud Engineering background. Could be an intermediate or a Sr level candidate.

Must have the following skills to be considered for this position:

• 3 years of DevOps experience, working in a large cloud setting of hundreds of instances/nodes, and in a smaller setting where you are working on all parts of the cloud, not being silo'ed.
• Must have operations and engineering background, but very strong (SME level) on the support side.
• Strong Serverless background, EC2, Lambda, Dynamo, API Gateway.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD
• Scripting background in CloudFormation
  
  

Responsilbities:

• Must have a proven past background out of a 500 instance/Node Cloud environment. Hosting facility experience would be ideal.
• Work on provisioning Infrastructure as a code using scripts, implement new highly scalable and redundant global AWS environment.
• Execute ongoing operational cloud management functions to ensure applications are operating optimally.
• Perform maintenance, upgrades and optimization as needed.
• Provide day-to-day support and management of infrastructure including 3rd party hosted data centers and cloud-based systems. Assist with the creation of the migration process of legacy systems to the company's cloud environments.
• Providing management updates.
  
  

Skills:

• General knowledge on Datacenter designs and architectures and Basic Business contingency scenarios.
• Industry best practices for building Cloud infrastructure as a code.
• Various 3rd party tools/products are available for monitoring and security.
• Networking (TCP, HTTP, DNS) and security (firewalls IP table, openswan VPN, SSH) AWS Cloud services:
• VPC's, ALB/NLB, ASG, EC2, ECS, S3, Storage Gateway, API Gateway, Lamda, SNS, SES, Route53 and Cloudfront, Encryption/KMS/CloudHSM, Inspector, Macie, IAM policies/roles, Shield, WAF, Cloudformation.
  
  

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Experience:

• 5 years of Information Technology (IT) experience.
• 2 years of Cloud Technology experience, preferably AWS.
