We are hiring creative, motivated, and talented people with a passion for doing what's right, what's smart, and what works.

About the Role

Redhorse Corporation is seeking an accomplished Director of Contracts to lead and manage contracts and subcontracts across the organization. This executive-level role requires strategic oversight of the full contract lifecycle, including pre-award, award, post-award, and closeout activities. You will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring organizational compliance, mitigating risk, and driving operational excellence in contract management.

As the Director of Contracts, you will collaborate with senior leadership and serve as the primary liaison for all contractual matters. This includes developing policies and processes, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), and other relevant regulations, and maintaining alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all government contracts and subcontracts from pre-award to closeout.
  • Lead the draft, review, negotiation, and execution of complex Teaming Agreements (TAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and other contractual documents.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and tools to ensure compliance with FAR, DFAR, contractual obligations, and corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including C-level executives, Program Managers, and business development teams, to align contracts with organizational goals.
  • Oversee project setup and integration with accounting systems like Deltek Costpoint, ensuring robust financial tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor contract compliance, reporting requirements, and performance metrics, proactively addressing any risks or issues.
  • Provide thought leadership in addressing complex contractual challenges, delivering risk mitigation strategies and innovative solutions to leadership.
  • Review and participate in finalizing responses for the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPAR).
  • Establish, review and evaluate subcontracts, task orders, and amendments, and address and / or support resolution of issues and provide post-award administration as needed.
  • Provide mediation between technical, contractual, finance, and management personnel as needed.

Required Experience / Clearance

  • 10 years of progressive experience in contracts and subcontracts administration, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director role, preferably within the federal government sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Expert knowledge of FAR, DFAR, GSA Schedules, IDIQ contracts, and other federal acquisition processes.
  • Working knowledge of SAM, GSA, and other Government GWACs.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating high-value contracts, including NDAs, TAs, and Subcontracts, with a focus on risk management and value optimization.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite and Deltek Costpoint.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, managing competing priorities while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Desired Experience

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.
  • NCMA certifications such as Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM).
  • Experience leading a contracts team in a mid-to-large organization.
  • Proven track record of improving contracting processes, workflows, and compliance systems.
  • Experience working with advanced analytics or reporting tools for contract performance metrics.
  • You don't need to have any of the desired experience above, but if you do, it may help you stand out from the crowd. We encourage you to apply even if you don't have any of the following experience.
