What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment/Trading Operations Associate position at Career Group Search?
Asset management and holding company with approximately $74 billion in assets under management is seeking an Investment Operations Associate to join the Operations Team. You'll be joining a nimble, experienced team focused on trade operations and reporting across various structured product asset classes, including CLOs and ABS products. Specifically, you'll assist in all stages of the trade life cycle, reporting, and reconciliations. This position will involve daily interaction with several aspects of our business, including facing the settlement desk of third-party broker dealers, custodians, services providers, and various internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage trade life cycle activities
- Perform daily cash reconciliations
- Reconcile position reporting across service providers
- Manage daily reporting and deliverables
- Maintain and distribute daily trade blotters, corporate actions, & trade allocations
- Coordinate with our middle office solution, custodians, and counterparties on trade executions & settlements
- Work closely with internal and external parties to address operational needs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a time-sensitive environment
- Demonstrated self-starter who can balance competing priorities, and work both autonomously and as part of a high performing team
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency to meet required deadlines
- Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of corporate trust, CDOs, securitization, and investment instruments
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Order Management Systems experience a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in Trade Ops, Investment Ops, Banking, or Financial Analysis
Compensation: $135-150K total (base plus bonus)
This role is onsite in Manhattan four days per week.
Salary : $135,000 - $150,000
