Career Links is a national healthcare staffing agency, placing allied health professionals in facilities on contract and permanent assignments throughout the United States. We are seeking dynamic, energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our in-house staffing and recruitment team. Career Links is located in Altoona, Iowa and is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant. This is an entry level position and training is provided.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in sales, marketing, recruitment, customer service, and human resources fields to use their skills and gain professional experience in a fast-paced, professional office environment. Position available immediately due to growing company and will support our Senior Account Executive.

This position part-time with the opportunity to develop into full-time. Current position is 20-30 hours per week, Monday-Friday (no weekends). Hours can be flexible but the majority of them will need to be between 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

Compensation

Non-exempt position with starting pay $12-$16/hr depending on qualifications and experience.

Main job duties and responsibilities include:

  • Typing, faxing/emailing, and filing documents.
  • Research job openings that meet candidate qualifications.
  • Market candidates to facilities.
  • Follow-up via phone and email to develop and maintain relationships with both candidates and clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and candidates through professional communication skills.
  • Coordinate appointments to meet with clients and candidates on behalf of appointed Staffing Managers or Sr. Acct. Exec.
  • Keep accurate and organized client and candidate files.
  • Verify licenses and certifications
  • Use exceptional interpersonal skills to manage the recruitment database, generate leads, and pre-screen candidates.
  • Complete RFP bid processes as needed for clients.

Ideal candidates for position will meet the following requirements:

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work up to 30 hours per week (Monday-Friday) between 8 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Must be accountable to meet very realistic monthly marketing goals
  • Ability to read and talk to people over the phone
  • Must possess tenacity, initiative and be a self-starter
  • Ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be committed with the ability to function both independently and as part of a professional sales team
  • Must be able to critical think and problems solve independently
  • Function efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess mature and consultive sales demeanor
  • Must be reliable. Good punctuality and attendance required.
  • Proficient computer skills including: Microsoft Office, search engines, social media platforms, database forums.
  • Some college education preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
