We've secured a significant $694,000 grant to implement and expand Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) across Santa Barbara County. This grant empowers us to provide extensive training, consultation, and support for therapists, ensuring top-notch services for families.

What is CPP :

CPP is a specialized intervention for children aged 0-5 who have experienced trauma or are facing mental health challenges. It's a crucial part of our mission to heal and support families in need.

Job Summary :

We are looking for a driven and dedicated Senior Manager of Trauma-Treatment Programs to join our team. Based in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, or Lompoc, this integral role will provide countywide leadership and support in the areas of strategy, policy, evidence-based practices, quality control, and the development and implementation of trauma-treatment programs county-wide. Duties include providing program direction, staff supervision, contract and budget management, and program evaluation. The SMTTP oversees the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the department, ensuring activities are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with our mission and vision.

How you will make an impact :

  • Guide department priorities aligned with agency mission, strategic plans, and community needs while identifying opportunities for county-wide expansion and growth.
  • Determine department structure, staff positions, levels, schedules, and workflow.
  • Supervise all department contracts, ensuring compliance with performance targets and requirements.
  • Provide oversight of expenditures to ensure departmental costs remain within budget, and communicate any required budget adjustments, modifications, or reallocations.
  • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of staff to cultivate a diverse and skilled workforce.
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance measures to ensure high standards of care, including adherence to documentation standards and periodic assessment.
  • In collaboration with the Senior Manager of Clinical Advancement, support implementation of clinical standards, evidence-based practices, and adherence to regulations set forth by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Organize and facilitate regular team meetings to maintain effective staff communication and manage accountability for performance expectations.
  • Monitor program outcomes and evaluate program effectiveness to inform decision-making and drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Complete written reports and contribute to grant writing efforts.
  • Ensure ethical / legal standards for clinical practice, including the proper maintenance of client files and the use of Electronic Health Records.
  • Promptly respond to and resolve client complaints or grievances.
  • Represent the Trauma-Treatment Department at meetings, community events, and conferences.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment for self, clients, employees, and community members in collaboration with the DCO and HR.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders.
  • Maintain a weekly presence in regional offices with flexibility to adjust based on priorities.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.

Role requirements :

  • LCSW or LMFT from an accredited university or college, with a license for a minimum of two years, or Licensed Psychologist from the respective California State Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.
  • 5 years of professional clinical experience and 3 years of management experience.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience providing clinical supervision.
  • Thorough understanding of the behavioral healthcare industry; knowledge of Medi-Cal and County documentation requirements; familiarity with government funding sources / reimbursement.
  • Training and experience in CALM’s core modalities preferred (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, CBT).
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license, clean DMV record, and criminal record clearance from the DOJ.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
