We are looking for a Food Service Worker at our Shelter. The worker assists with the preparation of meals. Ensures all aspects of the food service operation performed during shift, including but not limited to, food preparation, serving meals, cleaning, and maintenance of food service area / equipment as well as record keeping where required during shifts.
Requirements : ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Follow established schedules in cooking, baking, sanitation, and related activities.
- Use standard food preparation utensils and equipment.
- Utilize food, ingredients and other consumables as determined by menus and estimated number of diners.
- Apply consistent standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standard and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
- Receive and organize all in-kind donations.
- Clean and sanitize all food preparation equipment and reports food preparation issues or equipment malfunctions to the Director of the Soup Kitchen.
- Demonstrate a consistent effort to improve food preparation and provide quality customer service.
