Position Summary

Inspects product quality, assembles boxes, and packages products according to customer specifications. Operates the USM Die Press to cut samples needed for customer sample books.

Essential Job Function

Must be knowledgeable of all SMG-Moselle products to ensure quality and packaging specs meet all specified requirements.

Strives for daily production rate goal based on an hourly basis set by the Area Supervisor.

Stacks boxes on boxing machine for appropriate mat. Operates machine to lift and open box.

Rolls mat and places into box. Staples box and send down assembly line.

Prints out labels and labels box for stock and customer orders according to specs.

Stacks boxes on skid in correct pattern based on specific requirements.

Operates hoist to box rolls of applicable materials.

Performs visual inspection of products.

Reads purchase order to determine correct material needed for samples.

Operates cutter machine to cut product samples when necessary.

Operates USM Die Press to cut material into correct sample shape.

Assembles chains, tags or other specifications on sample order as requested.

Boxes and labels all sample orders and prepares for shipment.

Orders materials needed from manufacturing to produce each sample order.

Changes dies on machine as needed for correct sample.

Monitors and maintains constant changes of die size, labels, books, and products to ensure accuracy of quality and size.

Maintains an inventory of accurate and up-to-date sample dies and prepares damaged dies for shipment back to the vendor.

Records defects and prepares NCRs when necessary.

Completes daily production forms with packaging/samples information.

Performs inventory control duties.

Participates in scanned physical inventories as needed.

Backs up shipping when needed.

Assists in maintaining department in accordance with good housekeeping practices.

Observes all safety and environmental procedures.

Performs other duties as requested by supervision.

Job Qualifications

Ability to read, write and perform basic math.

Must have the ability to focus attention on detail.

Must be motivated, organized, and have the ability to coordinate multi and changing priorities while ensuring accuracy and quality.

Must be able to lift average weight materials continuously (between 5 and 70) pounds.
