Consumer Resource Specialist
Job Function: Effectively manages the deposit documentation review and verification process to ensure that all deposit account documentation meets the Bank’s policies, procedures and regulatory compliance requirements to mitigate risk to the bank. Is responsible for understanding of all consumer systems used by staff including deposit document archiving system, transaction systems, account origination and maintenance systems, and others. Provides branch support for operational and documentation guidance in a supportive and nurturing style.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verifies daily all new products set up through Deposit Origination and account changes performed through Service Request Manager.
- Ensures all appropriate documentation for the appropriate account type was prepared accurately, auto archived, or received for verification.
- Tracks documentation received, missing, inaccurate, or incomplete.
- Manages notification process to consumer staff for missing inaccurate or incomplete documentation.
- Provides feedback to Financial Center Managers on documentation deficiencies.
- Identifies and attends training sessions on deposit account documentation.
- Is the Subject Matter Expert in deposit documentation archiving.
- Coordinates with the Consumer Bank Operations Manager to ensure product is working effectively and efficiently for deposits.
- Responsible for daily inspection of documents including auto-archived and manually archived documents.
- Attends training to ensure understanding of the system and enhancements.
- Handles internal customer service inquiries regarding documentation deficiencies and the documentation log from Financial Centers Managers and Relationship Bankers.
- Assists Financial Center partners and external partners with procedural and policy questions. This can include both transactional and documentation questions.
- Provides support for system and policy and procedure as assigned by Consumer Bank Operations Manager.
- Assists other departments with Consumer Bank inquiries.
- Provides support for other consumer operations positions as required.
- Works in conjunction with Consumer Bank Operations Manager and Training Facilitator to prepare an annual consumer training plan and provide input on the annual performance of financial centers in the area of documentation for annual performance reviews.Coordinates with the Consumer Bank Operations Manager and Training Facilitator on deposit documentation training.
Job Qualifications/ Required Skills and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- College degree or related experience preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of consumer banking experience to include account opening, or 3 years of deposit operations documentation experience required
- Superior verbal and written communications skills
- Exhibit and maintain high degree of professionalism
- Maintain high degree of confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization
- Excellent follow through and time managements skills
- Strong attention to details
- Excellent organizational skills
