Responsibilities:
As a construction project manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of project management, including:
- Budget Management
- Track and forecast costs, prepare monthly projections, manage contingencies and allowances, track changes, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Contract Management
- Write, create, and manage subcontractor contracts. Review and issue subcontractor change orders while adhering to owner contract requirements.
- Scheduling
- Develop, track, and update CPM schedules. Facilitate pull scheduling and hold subcontractors accountable for meeting deadlines.
- Project Documentation
- Oversee RFIs, procurement, submittals, and other tasks typically handled by the project engineer.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Run and facilitate weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings.
- Team Coordination
- Partner with the project superintendent to ensure timely delivery of subcontractors, materials, equipment, and resources.
- Team Leadership
- Manage and oversee project engineers, ensuring their responsibilities are completed effectively.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Stable employment history: No more than 2 companies in 5 years or 3 companies in 10 years.
- Experience managing projects valued at $3M or more.
- Strong references from prior owners and employers.
- Resident of the United States.
- Previous experience as a project engineer (RFI processing, submittals, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Healthcare and/or educational project experience is preferred.
