Job Description
As a Radiologic Technologist, you would provide information to diagnose patient illnesses, by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs. Prior to each exam, you would prepare patient for radiological procedure through proper positioning and image technique, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. You will maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. You will review each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images. Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents and all types of care to the patient. Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs.
Requirements
Associates Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training. License / Certification : REQUIRED :
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology / ARRT REQUIRED : State license (VA) must be in process by submission (could take 8-10 weeks)
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. American Society of Radiologic Technology preferred.

Additional Information : Level II Trauma Center On-Call pay = Base Pay ($2-$3 on call pay) When they get called in, it is an automatic 2hrs overtime. This is regardless if they are there for 30 min. If they leave after 30 minutes and get called back in within that 2hr window they would not get another 2hr overtime minimum. As long as they don t punch back in within the 2hrs that they originally did, they get another call back. Any time that they clock in on call they are getting overtime. Shift times : Days / Evening / Nights 8 -10hr shifts 40 hour week Will work Every other weekend or / one weekend a month - flexible on shifts they can offer
Minimum 2 ears of experience. Take x-rays of patients' internal anatomy to aid physicians in diagnosing illnesses, diseases, or injuries. Explain x-ray procedures to patients and ensure that patients are exposed to limited amounts of radiation.

Requirements
Undergraduate degree in HIM / HIT preferred (Associate's or Bachelor's). Active RHIA, RHIT, and / or (mandatory). Extensive experience auditing MS-DRG inpatient coding : 3 years of hands-on MS-DRG auditing in a hospital setting. 10 years of total medical coding experience preferred. Demonstrated expertise across all body systems (not limited to one specialty, such as Orthopedics). Ability to pass a coding test : 20 multiple-choice / true-false and 5-7 behavioral questions (90 minutes). Reside in an eligible state (not available for California, Alaska, New York, or Colorado candidates).
