What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Career Pathway LLC?
Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney at least 2 years to join our team. Please note that for the purposes of calculating experience, most government experience and personal injury experience will not count. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various legal matters, conducting research, writing legal documents, and negotiating on behalf of clients. The Associate Attorney will primarily work on litigation matters with a focus on property and business litigation.
Duties :
- Conduct legal research on various topics related to property and business law.
- Draft legal documents such as discovery requests / responses, pleadings, and motions.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing counsel / parties.
- Assist in representing clients in court proceedings.
- Collaborate with the Partners on complex cases.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting business and property law, as well as litigation procedures (e.g., Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code, etc.).
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records.
- Bill at least 6hrs / day
