As the Electrical Project Superintendent, you will manage all electrical work for multifamily buildings, including projects with up to 300 apartment units. This includes overseeing systems like telecommunications, security, CCTV, access control, and lighting.
You will lead a team of 40-50 electricians, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the project. This role requires strong leadership to manage people, processes, and technical challenges in a busy construction setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all electrical systems for multifamily building projects, including telecommunications, security, CCTV, access control, and lighting.
- Lead a team of up to 50 electricians, ensuring they meet productivity and project deadlines.
- Hold weekly safety meetings and enforce OSHA standards for a safe work environment.
- Attend meetings with contractors and other stakeholders to provide updates and solve any issues.
- Plan and schedule electrical tasks to meet project deadlines and budgets.
- Review blueprints and electrical designs to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
- Manage tools, materials, and equipment to keep the project running smoothly and minimize waste.
- Train and support your team, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Licensed electrician with plenty of experience in multifamily building projects.
- Experience managing electrical systems for buildings with up to 300 units.
- Knowledge of telecommunications, security systems, CCTV, access control, and lighting.
- Ability to lead large teams (40-50 people) and manage performance.
- OSHA-trained with a strong commitment to safety.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, focused on quality and efficiency.
- Able to participate in meetings and contribute to project discussions.
- Good problem-solving skills and adaptable to changing project needs.
- Proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
