One of our favorite clients, a global industry leader, is searching for an Associate General Counsel to join their dynamic in-house legal team.Excellent benefits with quick coverage (medical, dental, vision, 401k, Profit Sharing and more).HYBRID work schedule, 35-hour week, low turnover, gym on-site, great people work with!Associate General Counsel Provide full range of counsel services for insurance services company.Review, negotiate and manage contracts and policies across all departments of the Company.Draft and periodically update corporate compliance policies.Provide training to employees regarding regulatory / compliance topics as necessary.Oversee the registration of trademarks and other intellectual property needs of Company and affiliate company.Oversee Company’s collections efforts and responses to bankruptcy notices.Procure and oversee external legal advisors when necessary to protect the business interests of Global.Develop knowledge of data privacy and cybersecurity regulatory framework. Manage local aspects of groupwide projects related to data privacy and cybersecurity requirements.Provide limited counsel services for small, affiliated company.Participate in board meetings; assist with preparation for meetings and act as Corporate Secretary for small, affiliated company.Required : Graduate of an accredited law school and admitted into a state bar5 years of legal experience at either a law firm or in-houseDesired Qualifications / A big plus : Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contractsCounseling financial companies regarding regulatory complianceExperience as a Corporate SecretaryExperience managing administrative staffAttributes : Excellent written and oral communication skillsTeam player with a commitment to developing strong collaborative relationships with legal colleagues, and internal clientsCommitment to proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and engaging with appropriate stakeholders to propose solutionsSolutions-oriented; business-oriented and Project ManagementSelf-motivated, able to work independently, reliable, responsive, and accountable to deliver resultsHigh level of professionalism; strong interpersonal skills and managementWillingness to flex job responsibilities and learn new areasSound judgment and commitment to ethical conduct
