Responsibilities
- Assist individuals in daily living activities, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
- Develop and implement personalized support plans tailored to each individual's needs.
- Provide mentorship and guidance in social skills, employment readiness, and community integration.
- Educate clients on various topics, including life skills, health management, and personal safety.
- Facilitate workforce development initiatives by helping clients explore job opportunities and prepare for interviews.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any incidents that occur during service delivery.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills in addiction counseling, social work practices, and effective communication.
Qualifications
- A background in social work or related fields is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or similar developmental challenges is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of employment labor laws and workforce development strategies is a plus.
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to educate clients effectively.
- Proficiency in interviewing techniques and recruiting practices to assist clients in job placements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with clients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating empathy and patience.
