Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Senior Sterile Processing Technician in Laguna Beach, CA.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Within the role of technician, leader, and teacher, the Senior Sterile Processing Technician demonstrates the technical expertise to practice at the SPD Tech II level, and in addition, assume responsibility for complex instrumentation (i.e. Ortho, Neuro, and/or ENT) maintenance and development in conjunction with the SPD Supervisor, SPD Clinical Manager, Surgery Specialty Techs and/or Surgery Clinical Nurse III. Promotes and improves the quality of unit daily operations, participates in the development of technical practice standards; assists in training and orienting new staff members; and education of SPT I and SPT II regarding instrumentation within designated specialty. Provide for ongoing education regarding designated specialty instrumentation for all SPD staff.
Requirements
Required qualifications:
National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire or National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire.
2 years of Sterile processing experience in an acute care setting.
2 years of High-Level Disinfection: Experience in High-Level Disinfection or Endoscopy.
Preferred qualifications:
Coursework/Training: High-Level Disinfection: Training in decontamination, processing, sterilization, quality control Flexible scope reprocessing.
