The General Maintenance Technician I performs maintenance service and repairs at our resort ensuring that all facilities and villas are maintained to the highest standards This role includes performing routine inspections, addressing maintenance requests, and executing repairs to enhance the guest experience and maintain safety. Success in this position requires upholding high-quality standards for both interior and exterior spaces through daily inspections, skilled use of basic to intermediate hand tools, and a thorough understanding of dispatching systems. The GMT I will proactively identify and address repair needs to keep all assets fully functional and visually well-maintained. Additionally, they will respond to guest requests promptly, demonstrating a customer-focused approach. For larger repairs or when additional resources are required, they will collaborate and communicate with leadership to ensure efficient and effective completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Performs routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on plumbing fixtures, windows, doors, lighting, and other assets within the property.
- Performs corrective maintenance in response to guest and staff calls.
- Helps to maintain clean and safe worksite by removing debris, reporting cleanliness issues to proper team, preparing for inclement weather events.
- Adhere to all company, Brand, Safety, OSHA, and compliance standards and regulations, including the completion of company training, and the training of fellow teammates, as assigned by the leader.
- Maintain accurate records services and work performed via mobile and desktop applications. To ensure accuracy of records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Entry-Level
- No experience required
- Basic maintenance knowledge and skilled preferred
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational training is a plus
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid driver's license
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Basic troubleshooting and repairs
- Examples: repairing door hinges, furniture assembly, changing air filters and vents, touch up paint, caulking
- Minor plumbing and electrical
- Examples: unclogging drains and toilets, replacing light bulbs
- Inspections and capturing needed repairs
- Guest interaction
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Will be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, operate hand tools (may include operating industrial machinery), and motor vehicles. Must be able to lift between thirty to fifty pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS:
The majority of work will be performed in a non-climate-controlled environment, will be exposed to severe inclement weather and varying degrees of extreme temperature. Will be exposed to various industrial chemicals, cleaning agents, etc. Will be exposed to strong odors, and loud noise levels.
WORKING SCHEDULE/HOURS
Schedules will vary depending on business needs, and may entail working nights, weekends and holidays. Must be flexible to work outside of departmental operating hours.
