POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Marketing Operations Lead is responsible for delivering high-quality lead support to marketing operation peers. This role involves motivating and recognizing team efforts, resolving issues, and assisting the supervisor in developing training and reward programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Team Leadership and Communication: Provide daily direction and communication to ensure marketing operations are executed timely and efficiently. Recommend improvements to enhance processes and customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Training and Resource Management: Ensure team members receive the necessary training and resources to perform effectively. Address employee relations issues with the supervisor and foster a positive work environment that motivates high performance.
- Active Participation in Meetings: Engage in team meetings, training sessions, and calibration discussions, contributing ideas and identifying relevant topics and issues for team consideration.
- Collaboration on Procedures: Work closely with the management team to develop and implement work procedures and processes that align with company and departmental standards.
- Acting Supervisor: Serve as the primary point of contact in the supervisor's absence, ensuring continuity in operations and support for the team.

TEAM LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide daily direction and communication to the marketing operations team, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Motivate and recognize team members, fostering a positive work environment to encourage high performance.
- Suggest methods to improve marketing operations processes and service quality for both internal and external customers and partners.
- Collaborate with the supervisor to implement best practices that enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure team members have appropriate training and resources to perform their jobs effectively.
- Communicate employee relations issues expressed by team members to the supervisor and assist in developing training programs.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to establish work procedures and processes that support company standards.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to address relevant topics and identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Act as a key point of contact for resolving operational issues and addressing team concerns in the supervisor's absence.
- Provide guidance and support in troubleshooting challenges faced by team members.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and calibration sessions, contributing ideas and topics for discussion.
- Ensure effective communication within the team and with the supervisor, particularly when the supervisor is unavailable.
- Ensure that all marketing operations adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
- Monitor team performance to maintain compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery.
- Manage resource allocation and prioritize tasks within the team to meet operational objectives.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; higher education preferred

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the hotel and/or resort industry, with a strong understanding of operational processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Knowledge of various inventory management software and systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and exceptional skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Willingness to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs.
- Strong organizational abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
- Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with vendors and various hotel groups, including leadership teams.
- Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with Holiday Inn Club Vacation leadership and other stakeholders throughout the company.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, and talk for extended periods of time. Be able to lift 10 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The incumbent in this position primarily works in an air-conditioned office. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires the ability to adapt to changing situations and environments based on the needs of staff and guests. In a virtual setting, team members must ensure they have a reliable internet connection to effectively fulfill their responsibilities.
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:
The typical schedule for this position is five days on and two days off. Flexibility is required to accommodate business operations and any changes in workload or staffing needs.
