This position exists to effectively process (wash) soiled linen through the Tunnel and Dryer system, utilizing safety, quality and efficiency, and ensuring the proper sanitizing and disinfectant of the linen in addition to protect and maintain tunnel systems from damage or repair.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS :
• Load linen into Conventional washer and dryer.
• Sorting of dirty linen.
• Maintain the requirement production standard of 27 per hour.
• Maintain clean and organize work area.
• Assist with ironing, folding, bagging, sorting, loading and delivery of linen when required.
• Other duties as determined by supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS :
• Ability to operator an industrial Tunnel and Dryer System.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Ability to program and run basic computer driven machinery.
• Ability to retool machinery per individual laundry runs.
• Ability to follow prescribed procedures and guideline in accomplishing tasks as described above.
• Skill in attention to detail.
