Our client, a precision gear manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer / Estimator. The main role of the Application Engineer is to deliver precise pricing details for the design and manufacturing of industrial gears. When a project request is received, the Application Engineer / Estimator will examine and assess all data provided by the customer, including technical and design specifications essential for project completion. They will accurately calculate the costs of raw materials, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and any other expenses required to fulfill the project according to specifications and offer the customer a precise quote.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Selection, pricing, quoting, and proposals tailored for customers
- Help customers with product drawings
- Review specifications
- Provide support for sales and marketing strategies
- Assist in creating marketing materials
- Act as a technical expert to support the sales team
- Offer technical support to the factory, sales team, and customers
- Aid in on-site problem investigations
- Process orders in the current ERP system
