About the Position
Career Smart Executive Recruiters is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to fill the role of EHS Strategic Implementation Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for implementing EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe working environment.
Main Accountabilities
- Identify health risks and establish policies, procedures, and required monitoring programs.
- Lead waste reduction and recycling efforts for the site on solid & hazardous waste, off-grade material, and waste treatment sludge.
- Improve the efficacy of the current wastewater treatment plant to reduce effluent discharge and optimize treatment chemistries.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of manufacturing / industrial experience (7 preferred in Safety and Environmental).
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to deal with crisis and emergency situations.
- EHS regulatory and technical expertise in the areas of occupational health and safety, process safety, and environmental.
