Career Smart Executive Recruiters is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to lead our client's EHS program in a manufacturing facility near Perry, GA. As the primary EHS representative, you will be responsible for defining and implementing strategic programs and processes to improve site safety performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
About the Role
- Provide leadership and direct support to coordinate and implement EHS programs, projects, and other compliance activities.
- Develop strategies and programs targeted at continued and substantial improvement in EHS performance, culture, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and local environmental regulations, relevant company standards, as well as local regulatory authorities.
- Fulfill all Environmental testing and reporting requirements.
- Timely reporting of corporate EHS metrics and incidents.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of manufacturing / industrial experience (7 preferred in Safety and Environmental).
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to deal with crisis and emergency situations.
- EHS regulatory and technical expertise in the areas of occupational health and safety, process safety, and environmental.
