- Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity of building systems and equipment. This includes regular inspections, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting various components to prevent breakdowns or malfunctions.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoot problems reported by residents or identified during inspections. Analyze the root cause of issues and determine the most effective repair or maintenance solutions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards when performing maintenance tasks.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents. Communicate effectively and courteously when addressing maintenance concerns, providing updates, or explaining repair processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a property management or real estate environment.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general handyman skills.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with property management software or computerized maintenance management systems.
