Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room setting.
- Manage patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history.
- Conduct documentation review to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate care plans for patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Stay updated on best practices in emergency care, including hospice care and assisted living protocols.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Proven experience in an emergency room or critical care setting as a Director of Nursing.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise nursing staff teams effectively in emergency medicine.
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Knowledge of Medicare regulations and resident rights is highly desirable.
- Experience in home care or hospice care settings is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
