What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Revenue Cycle position at Career Strategies?
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement revenue cycle strategies to maximize efficiency, optimize reimbursements, and improve cash flow.
- Billing & Collections Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims, manage denials and appeals, and oversee collections efforts to minimize outstanding balances.
- Cash Posting & Reconciliation: Supervise accurate posting of payments, adjustments, and refunds while ensuring proper reconciliation with accounting teams.
- Insurance & Compliance Management: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance policies.
- Revenue Cycle Performance Monitoring: Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics to track financial performance, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
- Technology & System Optimization: Work with IT and finance teams to enhance revenue cycle management systems, automate workflows, and integrate best practices.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage, train, and mentor revenue cycle staff, ensuring high levels of performance, engagement, and accountability.
- Patient Financial Services: Oversee patient billing, financial assistance programs, and customer service to improve the patient experience and payment collections.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), insurance reimbursement, and payer regulations.
- Experience with revenue cycle management (RCM) systems and healthcare finance software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop and execute strategies to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
