What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leasing Consultant - Compliance Occupancy Specialist position at Career Strategies?
We are seeking skilled Leasing Consultants with Compliance Occupancy experience for a community in the Gaithersburg, MD area who are motivated, friendly and experienced leasing professionals who match the skillset requested to apply and get started. The Property Manager will help to familiarize you with the community's resident files while you take necessary measures to ensure new documents are received and files are complete/up to date.
Qualifications:
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to new and existing residents
- Strong knowledge of qualifications and required documents for affordable dwellings
- Strong experience with Tax Credit and Section 8 processes and tenant requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to adhere to a Monday - Friday schedule
- Fair Housing expertise - "What you do for one, you must do for all!"
- Outgoing and friendly personality; must be a "people person"
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience touring, using software to contact leads, schedule tours, complete guest cards and keep up on specials
Additional Responsibilities:
- Actively engage prospects and relay pertinent information about their housing requirements
- Complete all necessary filing and paperwork associated with Section 8/HUD/Tax Credit qualifications
- Report to the Property Manager with updates and a list of duties to be completed
- Review resident files to ensure documentation is accounted for and up-to-date
