What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketer External *skilled nursing position at Career Strategies?
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven External Marketer to lead and execute census development and referral growth strategies for three skilled nursing facilities. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, and other referral sources to promote our facilities’ services and increase admissions.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to drive admissions across three SNFs.

Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources (e.g., hospitals, case managers, physician offices, rehab centers, home health agencies).

Conduct regular on-site visits to referral sources within the designated territory.

Represent the facilities at community events, health fairs, networking groups, and industry meetings.

Identify new referral opportunities and markets through data analysis and community engagement.

Maintain an active presence in the community to enhance visibility and awareness of the facilities' services.

Collaborate with internal admissions and clinical teams to ensure smooth patient transitions.

Provide weekly reports on referral activity, trends, and census development efforts.

Monitor competitors and market trends to stay ahead of industry shifts.
Qualifications:

Minimum 2–3 years of healthcare marketing or business development experience, preferably in the skilled nursing or post-acute care sector.

Strong knowledge of referral development, discharge planning processes, and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time across multiple facilities effectively.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
