- Job Summary : Residential Advisors Creates a comfortable, safe, supportive, and predictable atmosphere in dormitory. You will supervise residents in student housing in their daily activities, monitoring their progress, help them interact well with their dorm mates and adjust to campus life overall. Conducts dormitory operations in accordance with Center operating policy and procedures and in accordance with Career Systems Devlopment.Must be able to drive company vehicles and qualify for company sponsored insurance by holding a Maine Driver's License and be free of disqualifying vehicular violations.Assists students in adjusting to Center life by providing supervision, behavior modification, and acting as a mentor.Ensures that students meet required schedule, waking on time and being on time for work or school assignments.Ensures that students are adequately prepared for the training day; students are dressed appropriately, etc.Provides daily supervision or assistance in monitoring students in personal hygiene, room / chore assignments, special recreation activities, cafeteria monitoring, transportation and programmed activities.Provides informal counseling in relation to stress management, personal problems, emergency or home situations, etc., with students, and provides insight into responsible behaviors and attitudes.Available shift : Monday & Tuesday OffWednesday 2 : 00 PM to 12 : 00 AMThursday & Friday 2;30 PM to 11 : 30 PMSaturday 3 : 00 PM to 12 : 00 AM & Sunday 4 : 00 PM to 12 : 00 AMRequirements : Qualifications : Minimum : Must have a high school diploma or equivalent required. Model company core values. Valid Driver's License. Six month's experience in education or similar field.Preferred : Possess a B.A. or B. S. Degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited college or university. One year's experience in education or similar field.Knowledge : In order to perform the essential job functions of this position, candidate must be able to compose / write descriptive reports; use appropriate techniques to implement programmatic activities; verbally direct individuals and groups; remedy dysfunctional behavior; intervene with students; successfully complete mandated training courses.PI9ba8bc118eb2-35216-36393682
