Career TEAM is looking to hire a Job Entry and Retention Support Specialist (JERSS). This role is crucial in supporting individuals in recovery by providing information, employment opportunities, and support services. This position involves engaging with clients, service providers, and employer partners to help clients achieve their employment goals. Additionally, the JERSS will facilitate, provide, and coordinate a full array of engagement, OUD / SUD training, technical assistance, and support services necessary to assist participants in recovery, and with co-occurring mental health issues. This position is expected to be onsite with travel approximately 50-60% of the time to various field locations. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Your Impact on Career TEAM's Success :

  • Provide comprehensive technical assistance to individuals seeking employment and to partnering agencies, ensuring they have the necessary support and resources
  • Collaborate with case managers to address client needs, conduct participant intake interviews, and complete all necessary documentation
  • Actively network to identify potential participants, establish connections with community partners for additional resources, and engage with employers to create job opportunities
  • Prepare and submit detailed end-of-month reports and manage all required paperwork efficiently
  • Facilitate training sessions and provide valuable information to employers, serve as a trainer, and participate in relevant training events to stay updated on best practices
  • Safeguard all participant-protected health information and strictly comply with HIPAA policies and procedures
  • Collaborate in creating local procedures and plans to effectively engage with job seekers and employers, ensuring seamless coordination of services and integration into regular workflows
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • The Ideal Qualifications for this Position Include :

  • Bachelor's degree : or achievement of formal certification recognized by the industry equivalent to a bachelor's degree
  • Two to three years of experience preferred; one year of experience in business, human resources, economic development, community planning, career development, education, or other workforce-related positions required
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust to changing environments and solve problems effectively
  • Keen attention to detail with strong analytical skills to evaluate and resolve complex issues
  • Excellent ability to interact with contractors, clients, and colleagues, ensuring positive and productive relationships
  • Strong team player with effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of making informed and timely decisions
  • Efficient in managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Skilled in negotiating agreements and resolving conflicts amicably
  • Effective in delivering presentations and speaking to large groups
  • Capable of leading teams to achieve goals
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • A Valid Driver's License
  • Salary : $43,000-$45,000 annually
