Job Summary
The Machine Operator I is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in a manufacturing setting. This role ensures the efficient and safe operation of machines, adherence to quality standards, and timely completion of production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machinery to ensure efficient production.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Inspect products for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Record production data and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Assist with setup and changeover of machinery as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Experience operating machines for laser cutting, drilling, routing etc.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality control processes.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with Solder Dispensing Machine, Drill and mill Machine, X-ray machine, ESI/Excellon Laser, or SMD pick and place machine
Experience Requirements
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Education Requirements
High school diploma, GED or five (5) years’ work experience
Physical Requirements
- Requires using hands to handle tools or controls.
- Requires repetitive movement.
- Requires prolonged standing/sitting.
- Requires lifting to 50lbs.
