This Role Will Be Responsible For:
- Leading, designing, and executing Head Start and Early Head Start programs in alignment with Federal Performance Standards.
- Managing an operating budget exceeding $12 million, including grants and expenditures.
- Overseeing five direct reports and supporting the overall program team.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborating with community partners and other educational programs to expand services and resources.
- Representing the organization to stakeholders, advocating for early childhood education initiatives.
Expectations Will Include:
- Providing strategic leadership to all Head Start personnel.
- Ensuring the program meets all financial, operational, and compliance goals.
- Developing short- and long-term objectives to enhance program impact.
- Communicating budget and program updates to staff, the Board of Directors, and policy makers.
- Leading the identification, writing, and management of grants.
- Implementing policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals and best practices.
A Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in education, social services, or program management.
- Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets of $10M .
- Leadership Skills: Ability to empower staff, drive change, and manage large teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Head Start/Early Head Start regulations and early childhood education best practices.
- Strategic Thinking: High-level decision-making, problem-solving, and program development expertise.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written abilities to interact with stakeholders, funders, and team members.
- Technology Proficiency: High competency in MS Office and business communication tools.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel, work some evenings/weekends, and engage with diverse communities.
Compensation: $120,000
