Description
SAIC is hiring a Science and Technology Communication Specialist with Government Public Affairs experience to build and execute a communications strategy for the Initiative. Critical tasks will be to review identified Government, industry, allied and academic stakeholders, leverage existing speaking commitments and identify additional opportunities, and refine presentation of the goals, concepts, needs and approaches that define the Initiative. This position places an emphasis on the ability to devise and execute effective representations of the Initiative, S&T pathways, and Stakeholder concerns to internal and external audiences.
This position is hybrid remote. When onsite, work will be located in Arlington, VA.
Job Responsibilities :
- Develops, manages, and coordinates communication strategy and elements within that strategy, and develops and oversees execution of plans to roll out a new field of S&T.
- Demonstrates creativity and foresight by identifying, preparing, and presenting detailed technical reports and briefings on new concepts and technical directions impacting programs / projects, and defining future technology requirements.
- Collaborates with a broad array of internal and external stakeholders, engineers, scientists, and work domain experts in the planning, design, development, and testing of new technologies.
- Drafts test plans, conducts task analyses, and writes evaluation protocols for the efficacy of communication strategies and actions.
