Job Summary
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant workplace. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental health and safety programs to promote a culture of safety while adhering to regulatory requirements. The EHS Manager will collaborate with various departments to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and workers' compensation laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in EHS management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, EPA standards, and best practices in environmental health and safety.
- Experience in training development and delivery related to EHS topics.
- Certification in CPR / First Aid is a plus; additional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) are advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying risks and implementing effective solutions.
