Job Title : 2nd shift Bindery and Cutting Lead
Overview : As a Bindery and Cutting Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the bindery and cutting operations within our manufacturing facility. You will lead a team of bindery and cutting operators, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead, train, and supervise a team of bindery and cutting operators.
Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring smooth workflow and meeting production schedules.Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members to optimize productivity and quality.Production Management :Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and efficiency targets.Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.Quality Assurance :Conduct regular quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications.
Implement quality control measures and procedures to maintain product consistency and minimize defects.Address quality issues promptly, investigating root causes and implementing preventive measures.Safety and Compliance :Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees.
Conduct safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to bindery and cutting operations.Equipment Maintenance :Oversee the maintenance and servicing of bindery and cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Schedule preventive maintenance activities and coordinate repairs as needed.Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or replacements to enhance efficiency and productivity.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in print / bindery operations is a plus.Proven experience in bindery and cutting operations, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or leadership role.Strong technical knowledge of bindery and cutting equipment, processes, and materials.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.Solid understanding of quality control principles and practices.Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.Proficiency in computerized manufacturing systems and software applications.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Labor Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
