Job Description:
Excellent position for a Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s growing Healthcare and Life Sciences team. We are seeking a talented and highly motivated engineer with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 8 years of experience in the design of HVAC and Mechnical systems (Healthcare & Life Sciences projects preferred).
Requirements and responsibilities:
- 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, responsible for design and engineering of HVAC, and related equipment associated with building design and renovation, particularly in hospitals and healthcare.
- Mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems
- Knowledge of healthcare code compliance requirements and industry standards.
- Understanding of pressure relationships for healthcare occupancies.
- MUST have experience in healthcare, hospitals, and life sciences projects ONLY!
- Proficient in the use of Trane Trace 700, pressure differential tables, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Excellent technical skills; strong communications, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a team environment.
- EIT or PE is preferred, BUT NOT REQUIRED.
- LEED Accreditation could be a big plus.
Education:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar from an accredited college or university.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
